We contend we have access to the highest quality whitefish there is, and highest on our list of priorities is quality control. Especially when working with whitefish, this is paramount. Snorre has staff dedicated to making sure our products are always handled according to certain procedures. Every employee goes through a thorough training program before starting work in the factory. We have developed our own schooling program (The Snorre School) for all new employees – with oral and written tests at the end of the course. It consists of the following chapters:
1. Seafood knowledge.
2. Hygiene and cleanliness.
3. Handling fresh fish.
4. Active sale.
5. Quality control.
6. Economic understanding
We have a quality system based on HACCP-principles. The system detects biological, chemical and physical risks at every step of production. There are samples taken from products, air, water and ice which is then tested at a certified lab. Our customers can trust that all of our finished products have full traceability and the Norwegian food safety authorities make sure that the standards are upheld.
